Why do we call Jesus a Liar?

For according to Matthew 12:40 Jesus said:
For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
If we say that Jesus was buried around sunset on Good Friday and raised Sunday morning, we either believe he (or the gospel account) was mistaken or that he was a liar.

Jesus said 3 days & 3 nights.  Church tradition tells you 1 day and 2 nights.

What does it say about our "faith in Jesus" if we don't believe his promise?

This false tradition is also important to understand because it is used to justify one's disobedience to the Ten Commandments as is discussed here:

If Easter is really about the resurrection of Jesus then why isn't it observed 3 days after Passover?

Signs: Rainbows and Crosses

We all know the story of Noah.

The Almighty found the earth so corrupt that He set out to destroy nearly everyone.  Shortly afterwards He makes a covenant with Noah, his descendants, and all living creatures:
8 Then God said to Noah and his sons with him, 9 “Understand that I am confirming My covenant with you and your descendants after you, 10 and with every living creature that is with you—birds, livestock, and all wildlife of the earth that are with you—all the animals of the earth that came out of the ark. 11 I confirm My covenant with you that never again will every creature be wiped out by the waters of a flood; there will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”  (Genesis 9)
Father promises that He will never again destroy all life with a flood.   The sign that He gives of His covenant promise is the rainbow.
12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all future generations: 13 I have placed My bow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember My covenant between Me and you and all the living creatures: water will never again become a flood to destroy every creature.  (Genesis 9)
The rainbow is a visual reminder to Him:
16 The bow will be in the clouds, and I will look at it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all the living creatures on earth.” 17 God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have confirmed between Me and every creature on earth.”  (Genesis 9)
Now let's fast forward several millennia to our generation:

Disgusting and sad, isn't it?  Is this coincidence or accident?  Unlikely!

I suspect this is being orchestrated by our Enemy in an attempt to mock the Almighty and His covenant promise.  This sign was to be a reminder to the Almighty that He promised never to destroy the earth as He did before.  I suspect that the Earth today is no less corrupt than in the time of Noah.

Let's now have a look at another covenant and how its sign has spared people from death.  If you haven't already, please take a moment to read about this covenant in my post about COVENANT LOYALTY: One Thousand Generations

In Deuteronomy 28, Father makes it clear that those adhering to His covenant will be blessed while those who don't will be cursed and even destroyed. Fast forward to the time spoken of in Ezekiel 9.  There we see that the sins against this covenant have become so great in Jerusalem that Father prescribes the merciless death of everyone, both young and old.  There is an exception:
4 “Pass throughout the city of Jerusalem,” the Lord said to him, “and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the detestable practices committed in it.”5 He spoke as I listened to the others, “Pass through the city after him and start killing; do not show pity or spare them! 6 Slaughter the old men, the young men and women, as well as the older women and little children, but do not come near anyone who has the mark.
What I ask you to notice is that those who were saddened by the people's guilt were spared death by having a mark placed on their forehead.   The idea of having a forehead mark in regards to this covenant isn't new.   For example, Father gives the Ten Commandments for the second time in Deuteronomy 5.  He then instructs that His words should be on one's heart and bound symbolically on one's forehead.
4 “Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead.  (Deuteronomy 6)
Let's take a closer look at the mark that Father used to spare those written about in Ezekiel.  Here is Ezekiel 9:4 in an interlinear so that we can see what "mark" is translated from.  When we scroll down to "mark" and click on H8420 to see the Hebrew, we find that it is translated from the Hebrew "tav".

This is where we get to the 'crux' of the matter.  "Tav" is a letter of the ancient Hebrew alphabet as seen at this link..   Notice in its oldest form it is the shape of a cross:

In the diagrams and description at the shared link we see that this mark in its earliest form is identical to the Christian cross.

Today this symbol is regularly displayed in about every fashion you can imagine even going so far as to place it on one's forehead:
Here is an explanation of this practice:
What's Up with Dirty Christian Foreheads on Ash Wednesday?

So today we are placing the mark of the Tau Cross on our foreheads, on our necklaces, T-shirts, window decals, etc.  You name it and Christians will put this symbol on it.  But I beg you to remember that this symbol was used to save those who adhered to and loved a covenant that Christians have cast aside.

I'm aware that there is some debate as to the real shape of the tree that Jesus was killed on.  Either way, the end result is the same.  We have cast aside the Covenant it represents while claiming this cross is our salvation.  It did save those in the time of Ezekiel's writing only because Father had this placed on their foreheads Himself.

Do you think those of Ezekiel 9 that were killed without pity would have been spared by drawing a tav cross on their foreheads?  Of course not.  The requirement is that this covenant be adhered to and to be distressed when we see it ignored.

Could this be like the rainbow where the Enemy is causing us to unknowingly mock Father's covenant promise?   If we claim to have salvation through Jesus and the cross while all the time casting aside the very covenant it pertains to, are we really any different than a homosexual wearing a rainbow?

I'm confident that the gay rainbow is intended by the Enemy to serve as a mocking reminder of the Almighty's covenant promise to Noah (and us).  In the same way, I'm now very concerned that the Christian Cross is also intended by the Enemy to mock Father's covenant promises.

Many of you are no doubt shouting "What about the New Covenant?" while completely ignoring evidence I've given previously that a new covenant does not mean a new law.  Please bear with me as I hope to finish my first installment on the new covenant soon.   Also, be sure to understand that I am not speaking in any way negative of Jesus.  The fault is with those that use Jesus as a license for lawlessness.
